The Batangas Association of Water Districts (BAWD) has embarked on a year-long Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Training and Tutelage Program in partnership with Water.org, aiming to strengthen the capacity of local water districts in managing water losses and improving operational efficiency.

This comprehensive program, which began last year, brings together participating water districts from across Batangas to undergo in-depth training, hands-on mentorship, and technical guidance on identifying, reducing, and managing non-revenue water—water that is produced but not billed due to leaks, illegal connections, meter inaccuracies and other system inefficiencies.

Facilitated by experts from Water.org, the program focuses on equipping water districts with practical tools and strategies for system diagnostics, data management, pressure control and leak detection. It also encourages learning among BAWD member districts, creating a platform for sharing experiences, challenges and successful practices.
