San Juan Water District took part in the 1st General Membership Meeting (GMM) of the Southern Tagalog Association of Water Districts (STAWD), held at Casa Patricia in Candelaria, Quezon last March 27, 2025.The event gathered water district representatives from across the region to discuss vital updates, share best practices, and align on strategic directions for the year ahead.

With STAWD continuing to champion collaboration and resilience among its member districts, the GMM served as a platform for strengthening partnerships and tackling shared challenges in water service delivery. San Juan Water District Board of Directors are in attendance for the said event: Dir. Marceliano Abante, Dir. Ma. Luisa Gracia Diego, Dir. Cristhia Cruz, Dir. Ojiemar Alcantara alongside with GM Edith Joyce Sagaral-Geba and SJWD staff.

STAWD President and GM of Candelaria Water District, GM Mary Ann Alvarez, welcomed everyone for the 1^st ever GMM for the year 2025. STAWD Secretary and our very own GM, GM Edith Joyce Sagaral-Geba recognize all 160 participants present. STAWD Chairman and Chairman of Quezon Metro Water District, Atty. Vicente Joyas congratulated STAWD for actively participating in the recent Philippine Association of Water District Convention held in the City of Bacolod. STAWD participated in major events: Tap and Drill represented by Infanta Water District and in the Mini Olympics where the STAWD Basketball Team was declared champion for the 3^rd Consecutive Time.

The participants actively engaged in the sessions, contributing to discussions on operational improvements, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory developments. The meeting also provided an opportunity to reconnect with fellow districts and reinforce the spirit of solidarity that defines the STAWD community.
