The Quezon Association of Water Districts (QUAWD), in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), led a comprehensive Information System Strategic Plan (ISSP) seminar workshop aimed at strengthening the digital capabilities of local water districts.
The workshop brought together 19 participating water districts, including San Juan Water District, Catanduanes Water District, Pililla Water District and 16 districts from Quezon Province (Atimonan, Burdeos, Calauag, Candelaria, Catanauan, Dolores, Gumaca, Guinayangan, Infanta, Lopez, Macalelon, Polilio, Quezon Metro, San Francisco, Tiaong) The sessions focused on harnessing technology to boost operational efficiency, enhance data security, and improve overall service delivery.

General Manager Edith Joyce Sagaral-Geba attended the said Seminar Workshop along with HR Gerlie S. Badillo and Accountant Aileen O. Laqui. DICT experts provided valuable insights on key areas such as digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT governance, equipping attendees with tools to align their systems with national digital transformation standards. This initiative underscores SJWD’s strong commitment to advancing technology adoption, ensuring more reliable, secure, and sustainable water services for communities across the region.
